First beach ride is in the books and was a blast. Sand was rock hard at 23 degrees. We did about 30 miles of this. Mostly MTB but a few of us still rock the cross bike cuz cross bikes are just about the coolest thing ever.
The video is a little crude as I did not spend a lot of time on it but it gets the point across. We had a couple more than 20 bikes today. The temps were perfect and it was unusual that I hit the right amount of under layers on the first cold ride. It usually takes me 3 or 4 rides to nail that down.
This is just about the most fun you can have on a bike. Top 3 for sure. Hopefully this will be the mainstay of the remaining winter Saturday group rides. On the way home we saw our resident pair of Bald Eagles. Very cool.
This post will have to hold till I get back from work late Tuesday. Once again will be out of town. Hope your weekend was as fun as mine!
