The More Things Change, The More They Stay The Same.

Don't have a lot of time here, waiting for Steve D to pick me up and we are heading out into the woods for some MTBin'. Yesterdays group ride was very nice. Above average temps and a lot of riders. Over 20 for sure. However as we walked into the restaurant I got a call from my daughter and her ride home from Gymnastics practice fell thru so had to flip it and time trial the 22 miles home while everyone else had pancakes. Bummer. It was quite the interval tho.....
Also note the two pics, the top one was taken yesterday, while we were waiting for the 10 or so slow riders. Not sure how I made the cut but I did. And the pic below that was taken on Nov 15th, 2008. Missing exactly a year by one day. At almost the exact same spot in the woods. Not sure why I mention that but it just caught my eye as I looked at pics today.
Cross bikes still rule as we had about 10 out of 20+ riders. Speaking of cross bikes, the "rocket" will be put to rest this week. I am putting the bike back to stock. The Easton EC90's will come off and will be put in a box and stored in the stores basement next to my track wheels (also EC90's). All my cool carbon will be removed. Bike will be for sale. Pretty good deal too. Soon it will be Crosspinkie that I ride. I love the new bike but love Pinkie just as much. She has not seen any action since Sept. And she is ready!
Sadly as I mentioned earlier, I am working my day job starting Monday. Actually, I need to be in Cincinnati by morning so I leave today at 3pm. Wont be back by late Tuesday. It wont always be like this as I volunteered to do this run. Since they let me off since May I thought I would help out right off the bat.
That's how I roll.
Next post most likely Wednesday.
Or check on me on my Facebook.
