I have set goals for the loss and met them every time then setting the goal even lower. My goal now is to hit 199 as fast as I can. Racing is pretty much over although I just might show up next Sunday for the final cross race. And I am still thinking about Jingle Cross just cuz it sounds like a blast! But the latter is a long shot.
So its gonna be back to near starvation and my riding will suffer but this is the time of year when that is less noticeable.
I think with the way less riding it won't be as bad as it was then.
And I always get the talk about how bad eating that way is but everyone who says that is skinny. One thing I have learned is to not take any weight loss advise from skinny people. While I know many people of this stature that are very smart with eating, the fact is that the same rules just do not apply.
I remember going to the doctor about five years ago to ask for help with weight loss.
His advice?
He told me to walk 15 minutes a day.
Really? Is that before or after I ride for 6 hours at 110 miles?
He, along with skinny people just do not understand the HUGE swing in calorie intake needed for me to lose weight. Its crazy huge.
It would kill a normal skinny person.
Back in October I was 217 and just 3 pounds away from my 50th anniversary. Since then I have stopped riding in the morn (until now) and hover around 222 this morn.
This weight loss thing is getting harder. Its because I'm thinking about it too much. I started at 265 in April and never weighed myself or even thought about it until I was in the 230's. In fact, I didn't even know I was losing until I lost over 25 pounds.
I need to get back to that mindset, cuz I love to lose weight but......
I hate that mindset.
I hate having a empty fridge.
I hate when my stomach hurts.
I hate watching people eat ice cream.
I hate bonking bad on a ride.
I hate riding a trainer.
Trainers are the devil!

4 Tell me what you think!:
You need Jillian from The Biggest Loser.
You are looking great. Do NOT lose that motivation now. You can do it. Don't settle for anything less. To do so would only be cheating yourself. You are worth more than that.
